As a Brewster High School alum, I can say with full confidence and conviction that Brewster High School more than adequately prepares its students for life's next steps, whether it be further education or the work force. I have 2 daughters adopted from Russia that have different needs. One adopted at 16 months had plenty of time at a younger age to catch up and scored in the top 1% on the national Terranova tests. The second, adopted at 4 1/2 years old had more challanges. The school handled it wonderfully and she received the additional help she needed. Great blend of teachers and activities at the school also. My daughter is really excited about tomorrow's Halloween party at school. I like the great communication from the teachers.

I'm a student, Its a amazing school. The staff is nice and the programs are great! I think all the students really benifit from the activities.

In December 2005, we moved from the Bronx to Putnam County with our 4 children. My son attended JFK Elementary from 2005 - 2009 and my daughter currently attends kindergarten. The level of communication between parents and teachers and parents and the administration is unlike anything I ever experienced in the city. My son had an IEP and was just recently declassified as speech and language impaired. I credit the Brewster school system with helping my son to accomplish this. They pushed him forward when they thought he could handle it and held back when they felt that was what he needed. Moving to Putnam County's Brewster School District was one of the best decisions we've ever made.

Outstanding school! I have a 5th grader who has excelled and loves her teachers. As a product of private schools, I was a bit leary of sending my daughter to a public school but have been overwhelmed at the level of teacher professionalism, quality and concern for students.

As a parent sending two children to the Melrose School, I can attest to the high quality of the academic program, the extracurricular activities and the small-school environment for children. The families who send their children here really care about their children's education beyond the basic R's. This is a community of people who want their children to thrive as leaders and as members of the community. Melrose offers something most schools do not- a spiritual education- based on Judeo-Christian values and open to students of all religious denominations.
