As the step-father of two wonderful children in this school district (both of whom live with their mother and I), I have to say the school has been excellent in its efforts to keep me informed and involved in my step children's school activities. The teachers strive to bring the best quality of education to the students, not just on an academic level, but on a personal level, identifying the individual needs of each student, where they excel and where they need help, and have kept me and my wife very informed and involved in order to help our children continue to excel and learn.

Walter Panas High School always had a 'bad reputation' in the district. That may have been years ago. I am proud to say that my son attends WPHS and my daughter will be coming in next year. We are amazed by the level of parent-teacher interaction, the pre-college programs and awareness regarding college, etc. The kids are wholesome, friendly, comfortable with who they are. I fee that this school is less 'pretentious' than some neighboring schools. The principal, assistant principals and staff (counselors) are very perceptive, willing to assist the parents and the students.

I graduated from St. Columbanus and have to say that I absolutely loved the experience! I started in 4-year-old preschool and graduated with some of the same classmates when I was in the eighth grade! Your class really becomes your family; you don't necessarily like all of them, but you do care about all of them. The education is high-quality and teachers really do care.
