Excellent school, racially diverse, lots of kids going on to ivy league schools, i.e., my daughter went to Cornell after graduating, her friends went to Swarthmore, Harvard, Middlebury, U Penn, Brown. Wonderful teachers, especially in Honors and AP classes, Excellent music program, honors band and orchestras. The only negative would be, the sports program is not that great, however, Baseball made all state last year. Also, great diversity, where everyone gets along. my kids have never been bullied or pressured. Also, one of the lowest school taxes with high achievement records on Long Island.

I recently moved to New Hyde Park from the best school district in Queens. I have to say I am beyond pleased with My daughters new school. I was fearful of moving them in the middle of the school year but Hillside Grade was so wonderful, teachers, and students, that it made the transfer so easy for them. They tell me everyday how much they love, love, love their new school. Added to that is they are both doing great with their studies.

I went to elementary school here, and it was the greatest place. The music program is phenomenal-I owe all my musical success to Mr. Bruce Dedrick. The teachers were amazing and always willing to stay for extra help. The Odyssey Program was a great way to challenge students.

We have 2 children at Notre Dame and one word describes it: Superb. State of the art technology and solid academics which are taught by highly qualified professionals who use NYS curriculum standards. These are teachers who nurture the whole person; academically, spiritually and emotionally. The children are challenged, and through guidance and cooperation, they are given the tools to succeed. The school is guided by a principal who is easy to talk to and is well-respected. This is a community from nursery through eighth grade that acts to support and respect each others strengths, values and uniqueness. We are proud to be a part of this dynamic school.

Wonderful! Caring, understanding teachers, helpful administration and staff. Parents are fantastic to deal with, and the students really are great. I love working here.
